Bet99 Goes Live in Ontario iGaming Market

Popular online sports betting brand Bet99 is now live in the regulated iGaming market of Ontario. The launch came just ahead of the regulatory deadline set by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for October 31st. The deadline was aimed to provoke operators who had already acquired a provincial licence but were yet to launch their operations.

Unfortunately Bet99 didn’t get off to the best of starts, as the .com website went offline and the new .ca site was unable to take sports bets. Bet99 offered assurance however on social media that they were only performing routine maintenance and that the site would be running shortly. By Tuesday, the Bet99.ca site was up and running for both legal sports betting and casino gaming but it should be noted that some players still reported issues online.

To place sports bets or play online casino games at Bet99.ca, players must be over the legal gambling age of 19. They must also be physically located within Ontario provincial boundaries when placing bets. Using a VPN or proxy is strictly prohibited and could lead to being banned from the site.

As mentioned above, users at Bet99 will have the option of betting on sports and playing online casino games from the same gambling account (check bet99 referral code). The sports betting section offers a variety of different sports and leagues to bet on from across the globe, as well as the chance to place live bets on sporting events that are already in progress. The casino gaming section offers the chance to play hundreds of popular titles including Slots, Table Games, Video Poker and Live Casino Games.

About Bet99 Ontario

Bet99 launched back in 2020 and has always heavily targeted the Canadian market. The site struck up partnerships with well-known Canadian athletes such as Georges St-Pierre and Auston Matthews, earning the site wide recognition across the country. The brand is widely considered one of the biggest sports betting sites in Canada, with one of the largest turnovers in the past calendar year.

Other strategic partnerships Bet99 holds include affiliations with Official NFL Data, an Authorized Gaming Operator partner of the NBA and certification from the International Betting Integrity Association for fair gaming practices.

In terms of licensing, Bet99 operates with a licence from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission for provinces outside of Ontario in Canada. The brand received a license earlier this fall from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. They weren’t however able to secure an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario until a few months later, which delayed that brand’s launch in the province.
