GiG Receives Supplier Licence in Ontario

iGaming tech company, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), was recently awarded a supplier licence in Ontario. The company was cleared by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to become the latest brand to enter the extremely competitive gaming market in the province. GiG will now be able to offer its B2B sportsbook and player account management (PAM) platforms to any licensed operators who are in the Canadian province.

The licence will further expand GiG’s footprint in the region as a top software supplier, as they currently support 22 regulated markets, with another four pending. Earlier in July, GiG was also able to pen an agreement with Portuguese operator Moosh, which moved the brand from Caravel Entertainment’s platform technology to its own. The company has named its end goal as becoming the first choice for technical supply of B2B and PAM software in Canada.

Ontario launched its regulated iGaming market a few months back on 4 April. Since then, many operators have joined the mix and a bunch of tech companies have been able to secure supplier status. Even with the late entry, GiG remains undeterred, with many top officials believing they still have a significant portion of the market to aim at.

GiG will be expecting big things from the Ontario market in the coming years, as many experts believe that the online gambling industry will do over $2 billion over the next 3 years. There are currently around 30 active operators in the province which is expected to double in the next few months and the market begins to roll out fully. Whether the market can expand into lofty numbers is yet to be seen, but regardless, GiG finds themselves in a great position to be one of the biggest suppliers in Ontario for a long time.
