The Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) recently inked an agreement with Kings Media Ltd, an online casino operator best known for operating the ‘King Billy’ Casino. The deal marks King Billy’s arrival into the new regulated Ontario market, which has been a goal of many of the top online gambling brands around the world.
GiG will provide its award-winning platform for an initial three year period with the option of renewal. It’s expected that with the combined experience in the industry between Kings Media and GiG, the brand will be able to enter the market with a significant advantage. GiG is known for providing experience in penetrating and maintaining a position in fast-growing markets that have complicated jurisdictional regimes, much like Ontario has proven to be.
This is the second deal in Ontario for GiG, with an expected launch in the next quarter with a different brand and King Media expected to go live in the first quarter of next year. The partnership marks King Media’s first entry into North America under a regulated market. Players in Canada will still be able to play at the Malta Gaming Authority-licensed site which is running on the N1/SoftSwiss platform.
Kings Media has already been provided with a license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to provide regulated online gaming in the province.
GiG is an Oslo-based company which offers cloud-based products, platform services and performance marketing for its B2B partners. The brand provides full-service iGaming software services as well as marketing and media for online gambling operators and is continuously expanding into other parts of the supplier value chain.
Some of the more well-known brands that have been operated by GiG include Rizk.com and Guts.com. Both sites were divested to Betsson in April 2020. The company’s platform of services is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and UK Gambling Commission
